Introducing "The State Of It" Podcast
This podcast which focuses on Politics, Culture and Agendas is available to watch and listen to on YouTube, Rumble and Spotify.
I've wanted to create the concept of a podcast named "The State Of It" for quite some time now. The title stems from visceral reactions to sensational headlines, bewildering cultural phenomenons, and a general disquietude towards certain narratives often championed by social revolutionaries (often labelled as "woke"). I aimed to create a title that encapsulates both a colloquial expression, an astute observation, and a subtle nod to political discourse, particularly focusing on the word "State" which aligns with my interest in discussing political matters.
In terms of content, I envisioned "The State Of It" to be a platform where various perspectives converge, fostering discussions on current events, politics, cultural trends and agendas. I've lined up an array of intriguing guests, each bringing their unique opinions and viewpoints to the table. From individuals I've maintained connections with since my days as a citizen journalist starting in 2021 to guests whom I fundamentally disagree with, I anticipate the conversations to be dynamic and thought-provoking.
For the first episode, I had the pleasure of hosting David Kurten, leader of the Heritage Party in the United Kingdom. The Heritage Party advocates for free speech, traditional family values, and national sovereignty, often incorporating Christian ideals. David's extensive background includes serving as a London Assembly member from 2016 to 2021, during which he consistently challenged the administration of Sadiq Khan. Additionally, David hosts a show on TNT (Today's News Talk), where he delves into current news, geopolitics, and culture, alongside conversations with guests who are "fighting back against the system." You may also recognise him from his online videos which are still available.
I understand if YouTube isn’t substantial, here is a link to Rumble.
Alternatively, if you’re more of a listener, I have uploaded an audio-only version onto Spotify and soon to be on Apple Podcasts (when they accept).
You can listen to it below.
As I edit more to upload, I would appreciate as much feedback as possible so I can continue to better each episode I film.
I hope you enjoy the episode!
